Amazing Things about Our Body

Our body is a wonderful gift made by God. A complex creation but magnificent and unique compared to most creation in the world. From head to toe, our body is amazing! Although we are living day and night in the same body, we might not know or realise that our body is doing something on itself without us trying or even do anything.

Let’s have a peak on what are the great things our body can do:

1. If you ever feel thirsty, it is a sign that the amount of water in your body has decrease by 1%

2. Ever thought of the space between your eyebrows? Yes, it has its own name – glabella

3. If you think that your fingerprints are the only part of your body that is completely unique to you, then you’re wrong. Our tongue has also a unique pattern to it!

4. It’s much less effort to stay and be happy, why? You use 17 muscles to smile vs 43 muscles to frown at somebody. So, smile more!

5. Although you can’t always remember smells, your nose is capable of remembering around 50,000 different scents!

6. Your bones are 5 TIMES harder than steel! It’s difficult to break a bone, that is why it is so painful when you do.

7. Your small intestine is taller than you (what!!)

8. Higher heart attack rates are recorded on Monday – just be careful!

9. Male’s hair is sometimes twice as coarse as females’. This explains the reason that females usually have softer and smoother hair than males.

10. Your toe bears around 40% of your overall body weight – hence it is the most useful one when you are moving around.

11. One-third of your teeth are underneath the gum.

Extra: You can’t feel your tongue when you smile, try it~ See, there you are smiling 😊

Above all, there is one that differentiates us from others – it’s our brain. From enabling you to think, learn, create and feel emotions to control every blink, breath and heartbeat, this fantastic control center is your brain. Scientists called it the most complex thing we have discovered in our universe. Use it wisely, think before you do something, don’t litter around & pick up your trash!
